CC Focus Group Challenge

I was lucky enough to be able to join the focus group on Crop Chocolate.  (We are called the Bittersweet Babes!)  Each month, we will be presented with a challenge and.....welllllll, I love the challenges....but the first one was tough!!!  This challenge was to create a project based off of your favorite book.  I'm not one for excuses, but:
1. I don't have a favorite book.
2. The books I read are mostly mysteries about solving murders.

How on earth do I meet this challenge? Any LO might end up pretty wild or grizzly! I decided to spend some time looking at book covers from one of my favorite authors - Lisa Jackson. I saw this:

Ok, I can do something with this. Recently, one of my dear friends got free tickets to so see Tesla. (I'm a country music fan; Tesla is one of the favorite bands of my rocker-chick friend.....but we had a really great time!) I thought these would be the perfect pictures to scrap using the inspiration of the cover of this book.

Products used:
CC products:
Fancy Pants My Family paper
Tim Holtz Distress in Rusty Hinge
I-rock gems
Non-CC:  Some colored duck-type tape

Here's what I came up with:

I especially love the pic on the right of the four of us. Lisa on the left, Tamela (rocker-chick) next and then me. And who is that man who jumped in the picture with us girls? Oh! Ha ha, that's my DH! He's a good guy to have put up with our shenanigans that night!! :)  The next day, we spent the day on the boat cruising the Sacramento River. Fun fun!!

Craftily yours,

Karen (karey2005)
