Flutter

It's the end of September, and Fall seems to finally be coming to Northern California, so I decided to make a Spring card.  Yes, I realize that this doesn't make sense....but I love Fall and also love Spring flowers so much :)  Like the beautiful new Elizabeth Craft Designs blooms I used to make this card.

Ooooooh!  I used distress ink in Wilted Violet and Worn Lipstick first and smooshed it on my craft mat with some water and then just swirled the Soft Finish cardstock around.  Then I used some Peeled Paint and added water, picked some up with a paint brush and splatted in a few places.  I used the Stitched Circles dies to cut a "hole" on one side of the background, and put the "hole" back in layered up on a Dotted Scallop die.  (Unfortunately, I forgot to write down my Copic colors before putting them away....sorry)

Thank you for stopping by today!  Have a lovely Fall day filled with Spring flowers :)

Karen

Smile!

I'm up on the Dare 2B Artzy blog today!  Whoop whoop.  Or shall say Hoot Hoot (stamps and dies)!?!  Here's what I did:

I used one of my favorite lines of paper called Artzy Doodles Variety Pack.  I colored this FuN owl with Copic markers:  E41, E42, E43, R27, R29, B93, B95, YR14, and YR16.  Keeping it clean, I used an Elizabeth Craft Designs Fishtail Banner to add a sentiment and layered the image and sentiment onto a circle of white paper that was embossed.

Sweater Blog Hop

Welcome to my stop in the Elizabeth Craft Designs Winter Sweater Blog Hop!  Today, we are featuring the Winter Sweater die set.  How FuN!

The hope started on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog, so if you just happened to stop at my blog, head back to the start.  There are so many wonderful creations; you don't want to miss one!  AND to celebrate the fun, Elizabeth Craft Designs is offering the Winter Sweater die at 15% off by using the code "BRRR" at the check-out.  Great deal!

I decided to go with the Ugly Christmas Sweater for my post....except it didn't turn out ugly.  I would definitely wear this sweater!

The sweet stamp is from the Candy Land clear stamp set.  I colored and fussy cut her and glued her to a piece of paper from the Unconventional Xmas Collection.  The background paper is also from that collection.  She is colored with Copic markers:  E41, E42, E43, BG000, BG01, BG02, R30, R32, R35, G40, G43, G46 and C1.  The sentiment is from the Holiday Cheer set.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.  More fun is to be found on the wonderful Frances Byrne's blog.  Eeek.  Can't wait to see what she's been up to.  The full hop list is below in case you get lost.

Another Little Christmas Reindeer

I'm excited to be again guest designing for Gerda Steiner Designs using the new Little Christmas Reindeer stamps.  This stamp is super adorable, and I'm happy to be showcasing another way to use it.  Here's what I did:

I used some new papers from Elizabeth Craft Designs, It's Christmas Time, and cut a Stitched Rectangle from patterned paper.  Using my TH Stamping Platform, I lined up the stamps on the patterned paper the way that I wanted them to be and then stamped them onto the patterned paper.  Then I stamped the reindeer again onto Copic Xpress It blending cardstock and colored him with the following markers:

Reindeer:  E41, E42, E43, E44
Decor:  YG61, YG6, R27, Y26, Y28 (and I added some white flicks with Kirina Wink Markers)

Then, I fussy cunt out the reindeer, the bulbs, the lights and the stars and glued them onto the pattern cardstock.  I layered it up and added some lace.

Get Your Jingle On

Ready for Christmas?!  I know, I know - Halloween hasn't happened yet.  I love to make Christmas cards though - so I made another one.  This one uses the Holiday Trees and Ornaments Clear Stamps and coordinating dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs:

So simple!  I embossed the background using a Spellbinders embossing folder.  Colored the tree with Copic markers (G43, G46, Y26, Y28, C1 and C3) and then die cut it out.  I ripped a piece of Soft-Finish Card Stock and stamped the sentiment on from the Holiday Cheer Stamps.  I love that sentiment!

I added some diamond dots to finish it off.  I may make multiples of this one!

Thanks for stopping by today.  My supplies list is below.

Designer Challenge - Spooktacular Creations

It's time for a new Designer Challenge over at Elizabeth Craft Designs!  This month is about Spooktacular Creations!  There's a $20 gift card available to win over at the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog.  All you have to do is answer the question (there) - What are some of your favorite products to choose when creating spooky scenes for Halloween?

For both of my cards today, I used the new Halloween stamps.  On this first card, I dug out a piece of G45 paper:

These fun images are die cut with the coordinating dies and colored with Copics:

Jack-O-Lantern:  YR24, YR27, Y16, Y19, G82, G85, B93
Franken-Boy:  E000, E01, E11, BV20, BG72, BG75, C1, B93, B95, G82, G85, C3, R4
Spiders:  C3, YR24
Edging on all:  E42

For my second card, I used the Thinking About...Rio de Janeiro paper:

The images here are colored with the Cool Greys, Warm Greys...and V25.  I used the Circle Background die, and cut the purple strip with a Stitched Fishtail Banners die (just cut off the ends).

Thank you for stopping by today!

Little Christmas Reindeer

I'm excited to be guest designing for Gerda Steiner Designs today using the new Little Christmas Reindeer stamps.  This little sweetie is SO cute!

Here's what I did:

I wanted to do non-traditional colors, and I just LoVe him in the blues and purples.  The Copic colors I used were:

Reindeer:  E41, E42, E43, E44
Decor:  BV00, BV02, BG53, BG57, Y26, Y28 (and I added some gold dots and white flicks with Kirina Wink Markers)
Birdies:  B12, B14, YR14, C1, C3

The sentiment comes in three different sections.  I LoVe the versatility of being able to stamp them any which way I want!  Those little birdies are also part of the set.  I fussy cut them out.

I Melt for You

Christmas is just a little over three months away!  That's crazy, huh?!  I'm in the mood for it and have made this FuN holiday card using the Snowman & Gifts Clear Stamps along with the coordinating diesfrom Elizabeth Craft Designs:

I loved the idea of the snowflake swirling between the two snowmen.  They are one stamp and cut perfectly with the coordinating dies.  They are attached at the nose, so I just snipped them apart to put on either side of the slider.  Els does a great "how-to-video" on using the Sliders and Spinners dies. Here's a little video of the slider in action.

Sorry it's a little dark, but I think it does show the swirling snowflake well.  The images are colored with Copic Markers:  E33, R24, R27, G43, G46, Y26, Y28, C1 and C3.  The slider panel is die cut with the Stitched Circles Dies.  The paper is from the Thinking about - Rio De Janeiro 12 x 12 collection.  The white paper is the 100lb soft-finish cardstock.  I added some green Nuvo drops in the corner.

Here's what I made:

That flower is so much fun to color.  I used Y15, Y18, B12, B14, B16, R81, R83, and R85!  I cut the sentiment with a die from Elizabeth Craft Designs called, Stitched Fishtail Banners.  I popped up the center portion.  Here's a close-up:

It's my birthday month.  Elizabeth Craft Designs has released some BRAND new stamps, I think, for my birthday!  They are absolutely fun, like the Bugs and Butterflies Clear Stamps I used to make this card:

They are just lovely, yes?  The butterlies are colored with BG72, BG75, BG78, R81, R83, R85.
