Wherever You Are

Just chillaxin' today and doing some crafting.  Always a good thing.  I decided it was high time to enter this month's Unity {Be Inspired} challenge.  I decided to do a take on the card sketch.

I used the "Now and Always" set for the flower and butterfly.  The sentiment is from a grab bag I won at FWF.  The paper is from Pink Paislee Hello Sunshine.  I used rock candy on the flower.  Love the sparkly effect.  Here's a close-up...

Taggin' and Baggin'

I'm up on the Timeless Twine Blog today - with a fun taggin' and baggin' project.  This month, the Twine-istas are mixing it up showing you all of the fabulous ways you can use Timeless Twine in your crafty projects!  Fun.

I chose Tags and Bags for today and decided to do a really simple treat bag filled up with yummy Mike N Ike candy.

The sentiment is from the Oh Snap stampet from Bella Creationz as is the fun-n-frilly doily.  The tag and glassine bag can ALSO be found on the Bella Creationz Etsy site.  The butterfly is from Now & Always at Unity Stamp Company, and of course, some Timeless Twine with a triple bow in Lemonade Yellow.

Rainy Days

I have a project up at the Cuttin' and Stampin' blog today using these fabulous products.

This stamp-set is so fun, and the paper is GORGEOUS.  Seriously, it's lovely; go get it - HERE!  :)

I used the umbrella die that comes with the stamp-set to cut an umbrella and then created a fun rainy day background with my new Tim Holtz Spritzer (that I purchased at a GREAT deal from Cuttin' and Stampin'.  It not only works with the watercolor markers but also with Copics.  I spritzed blue and grey Copics through the Stripes Tim Holtz layered stencil and then added a lighter blue and some pink to fill in.

Since rainy days make me happy, I knew it needed some glimmer, so I misted the whole background with Glimmer Mist in Frost.  The clouds and the umbrella are outlined with a little Tim Holtz Black Soot distress ink too.

Spring Bunches of Gratitude

Happy Thursday, Friends!  This month at 3 Girl JAM, we are working on projects with an All Things Spring theme.  Fun!

Nothing says Spring like Spring flowers, huh?  Using Unity Stamp Company SOTW Bouquet Bunch of Thanks, here's what I did...

I seriously love making cards using the 3 Girl JAM beautiful lace.  This one is from the 3 Girl JAM distressed lace package.  I finished off the card with a teensy bow of Goblin Green from the Spooky Bundle tied (perfectly, if I do say so myself) with the 3 Girl JAM bow-maker!  Do you have one of these bow-makers?  Get one.  The tool is small, so you can leave it out all the time (I do!)....and it makes a perfect bow.....every single time!  Don't forget you can use code KN10 to get 10% off your WHOLE order!

The paper from this card is from Basic Grey, Green at Heart.....and those dots are Candi Dots purchased at Cuttin' and Stampin' for a stinkin good deal!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Stop by my blog for more details on this card.... :)

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday Friends with Flair!

I'm posting several cards this week.  The first is made with Unity Stamp Company "Rain or Shine" and Lawn Fawn Paper and Timeless Twine.

The rest of these cards were on Facebook during the Itty-Bitty-A-Day Challenge, but I realized I never put them on my blog.....so I'm adding them in here.

Using more of that fabulous Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine paper, more Timeless Twine, and the "Check you out" stamp, here was day 5!

Day 6's card used "Tight Jeans" and "In Circle Me" along with crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl JAM.  I inked up the background with TH distress inks and sponges.  Love how it looks!

Anf finally, Day 7 used the Joslyn Nielson Happy Birthday stamp!

Thanks FWF Friends for hanging with me through this LONG post!  Have a LOVELY weekend!

Rainbows and Unicorns

Orange Team 14-14 Challenge
Rainbows/Easter
Spring is finally here - yeah! Spring brings us Easter and Rainbows!
This week the Orange Team is creating projects using the
Paper Smooches Spectrum stamp set and Doodlebug Springtime paper line.

I'm up on the Cuttin' and Stampin' blog today with my version of mixed media.  Sooooo, seriously, could that stamp set be any cuter?  And that paper is SO perfect with it!  When I saw this set, I knew that I just had to get that unicorn inky.  As our challenge is rainbows or Easter, I decided to color his mane in rainbow of colors!  I really "need" more of that cute flower washi tape!

I also decided to decorate the inside with the rainbow stamp to keep the theme going!  And the sentiment is, of course, perfect!  :)

Other supplies used:  Tim Holtz Distress Glitter Spun Sugar, Tim Holtz distress watercolor pens, UmWow Studio Chipboard confetti, and Liquid Pearls.

You can find these supplies and so much more in the

Go HERE to enter your project.

Sweet Lil Panda

Happy Friday, Friends with Flair!  Another weekend is coming.  Woo hoo!

Today's card features a stamp from the April 2013 KOM, "You Make My Heart Puffy."  It went on sale recently, and I just had to have this adorable lil panda bear.

The paper is from Prima Marketing, All About Me, collection.  I got the doily from Bella Creationz.  I'm totally hooked on doilies these days.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Cherry Blossoms

I'm up on the 3 Girl JAM blog today with a fun All Things Spring post!  Here in Northern California, we've been celebrating Spring for some time.....like since Summer of last year.  Still hoping for some rain.....but also looking forward to the trees with the pretty green leaves and for some Spring flowers.

When I was trying to decide what to do for this post, I started looking through a paper pad I recently won.  It's a Recollections Cherry Blossoms collection, and I really wanted to play with the paper that had cherry blossoms on it!  This first card features a piece of the BEAUTIFUL distressed lace and some really pretty crinkle ribbon in Cherry Lipstick.  (Do I feel a hint of Cherry to this post??!)  The stamp is from Unity Stamp Company - called Hunny Bunny.

I made my second card with the same paper and a wee bit more of that distressed lace and a stamp from Unity called Spring {new beginning}.

Can you tell I'm obsessed with that lace.  Truly, it's really gorgeous - as are all the crinkle ribbons at the 3 Girl JAM store!  Be sure to use code KN10 for 10% off your WHOLE order.  Wow!

Adventuresome Us

This month, here at Timeless Twine, we are mixing it up a bit.  Rather than having a theme, we are creating different kinds of projects.  How fun is that?!

I chose to do a lay-out for today's post.  My hubby and I are avid boaters.  So, a funny and strange thing about me is that I'm scared of going over bridges.  If it weren't so dangerous, I'd close my eyes across them every time.  Wellll, when you are a boater, you get to go UNDER the bridge....and somehow I am totally fascinated by them.

One of the prettiest bridges in my area is the Tower Bridge near Old Sacramento.  It's gold and shiny, and I have hundreds of pictures of it.  I decided to scrap one of them along with a pic of the hubs and me.

I used the new stampset from Bella Creationz to embellish it with the arrow and the camera (love this set).....and of course, I added some Timeless Twine in Lemonade Yellow and Aqua Blue.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you have a terrific day!

No-Designer Paper Christmas

It's time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges!  This week, we are making cards with NO designer paper.  It's an optional challenge, but try it.  It's hard....but FUN!

My card this week features a stamp from Tiddly Inks....and well, no designer paper!

I added some washi tape to give some pattern to the card.  I like the simple, CAS style.

Hope you'll link up with us :)

FWF - Itty Bitty a Day

Happy Friday, Friends with Flair!  I missed last week *sadface* but only because I'd just gotten back from a mini-vacation in sunny and hot Arizona.  Way too much catching up to do, ya know.  I made up for it this week!

Unity Stamp Company is hosting an Itty-Bitty-a-Day challenge.  I'm posting what I've done so far:

Tuesday, April 1 - Day 1 - using Sympathy - Thinking of You

As most of you know, I host a crafter-lunch at work each month.  The crew wanted a sympathy card, so this is the kit I'll make for everyone.  I really enjoy those lunches!  Such fun.

Wednesday, April 2 - Day 2 - using SOTW - Little Moments, Big Life

Thursday, April 3 - Day 3 - using Queen of the Universe

Friday, April 4 - Day 4 - using Matching Socks

I'm entering this last card into the Unity {Be Inspired} Challenge as I used the color palette and the scrapbook lay-out sketch for inspiration!

Hope you have a happy weekend.

Karen

Squeeeeeeal, Exciting News

So excited to be part of some big news today!  The owner of Timeless Twine and Bella Creationz has decided to expand her company and start making stamps!  Yes!  And look at the total cuteness of this first set!!

Oh snap is the name of the stamp-set!  Oh snap, cute!  So much fun!  I used the photo frame the "love" sentiment in the set to create this cutie using my owl punch.  The little banner is also from Bella Creationz and, of course, I HAD to add a double-bow of Timeless Twine in Chocolate Chip Brown.  I used that cute, folksy little heart to decorate the inside.

And I totally needed to use that cute lil camera, right?!  Oh snap, this is what I came up with!  I used Timeless Twine also on this one in Bubblegum Pink and Kraft Brown.

Cuteness, right?  Head on over to the Timeless Twine blog to see what my fabulous DT Sistahs made!

Karen
