I used a stamp from Unity Stamp Company (Favorite Pop) and some Pink Paislee Hello Sunshine.  I love lime popsicles so I went with a bright green, and the 3 Girl JAM ribbon candy crinkle ribbon was perfect, I think.

Birdie Thanks and Miss You Stars

For today's post at the Linnie Bloom Design Team Blog, I made a simple card using the bird and leaf shapes from the Linnie Blooms canvas shapes.  I sprayed the bird with Glimmer Mist in spicy mustard and daubered the leaf/wing with Tim Holtz distress paint in spun sugar mixed with Glimmer Mist in party pink to make it a little brighter.

SO easy.  The paper is from MME Indie Chic Saffron.  I distressed the edges with a little Tim Holtz distress ink in walnut and then ran the edges through my Distrezz-It-All.  The lace is from 3 Girl JAM.

The second card today is using the Linnie Bloom canvas stars from the shapes set.  I painted them and spritzed them with inks to create this card for my son (who is in the Army)...

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Before you go, be sure to check out:

Splat, splat

Weekly Challenge 14-22
Birthdays

For this week's Cuttin' and Stampin' Challenge, we're celebrating birthdays!

I'm sharing a mixed media birthday post made with these wonderful Jillibean products available at the Cuttin' and Stampin' Scrappy Supply Store!

To create the background, I pulled out all my Tim Holtz distress paints and Dylusions sprays in gold, blue, yellow and pink to match the pretty paper and just started splatting.  Splat, splat, splat.  I had splats everywhere!  Fun!  After it all dried, I wanted to add a beige tone, so I added some distress ink in Antique Linen.  And of course, I needed something sparkly - i.e. sequins.

Sympathy

I'm up on the Linnie Blooms blog today sharing a sympathy card for a sweet co-worker who recently lost her mom.

I used on of the Linnie Blooms canvas shapes and inked it up with Tim Holtz Broken China and Sapphire distress inks.  I was going to try to make a flower out of it.....but I decided instead to cut it out to add a "frame" around the image (which is from Unity Stamp Company {may hope sustain you}).  I love the extra texture that the canvas brings to my cards.  The image is colored with Tim Holtz distress watercolors, and the patterned paper is from Carta Bella So Noted.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Before you go, be sure to check out:

Set Sail to your Dreams

I'm up at the Timeless Twine blog today sharing a fun card made with Timeless Twine Firecracker, Unity's SOTW {Dreams Set Sail} and some paper from DIY Boutique, Simple Stories.  As many of you know, my husband and I are boaters.  We have a 30 foot bayliner that berths on the Sacramento River.  While there's not much water in that river this year, there's still enough for many lazy, floating days.....and summer is so much fun because of it.

Don't ya just love that little twine-y flag made with the fabulous Timeless Twine in Firecracker??  I know I do!

What summer fun plans do you have?

Christmas Chillin'

It's freaking hot outside here in Northern California.  You ready for Christmas?!  LOL

We have a new (always optional) color challenge at Christmas Card Challenges with pretty shades of blue.  For this week's card, I used the Just Chillin' stamp from Unity Stamp Company (colored with Copics and Stickles) and some Basic Grey Nordic Challenge paper.  The embellishments are from Spellbinders and Timeless Twine (snowflake) and 3 Girl JAM (lace).  The paper is distressed with my new Zutter distress tool.  (So fun!)

Hope you'll link up with us :)

Anchors and Boats

So excited to be up at the Cuttin' and Stampin' blog today with a mixed media creation using Lawn Fawn Float My Boat stampset and Authenique Anchored paper.  Eek, could this stamp set from Lawn Fawn BE any cuter?!  Seriously!  And this paper is SO perfect for the masculine cards!  I used it to make a Father's Day cards for my husband and my father.

On this first one for my dad, I used a Tim Holtz stars layering stencil and some Gesso mixed with Adirondack Denim color-wash to create the stars.  I decided it looked like a rustic blue, so then I tore the paper to create the layers and used my Diztress-It-All to distress up the edges.  The Timeless Twine in Natural seemed like the perfect finish.

And I had a BUNCH of the gesso mixture left, so I used an UmWow Studio stencil to add some hearts to my husband's distressed-up card.  In this one, some 3 Girl JAM burlap ribbon finished it up.

Both images are colored with Tim Holtz distress watercolor markers.

Summer? Christmas?

I've got two cards to share with you on the Timeless Twine blog today using red, white and aqua using Timeless Twine Firecracker.

The first one is summer-y was inspired by a pin on the There She Goes Pinterest page.  I got these flip-flop stamps from them before they shut down mostly because I loved a card created by one of their DT that looks something like this card:

And why am I flippin' out?  Well, it's almost Christmas!   Oh.....not really......but no time like the present to get started on holiday cards, right?!  This card uses a Unity snowpeep stamp and some paper from Echo Park - Keepin Cozy:

Don't you just love the colors?!  I know I do.  Looooooookie here how perrrrrrty!

Summer Butterflies

I am super excited to meet my Linnie Blooms Design Team Challenge this month with the Linnie Blooms Butterfly Mask.  Our team was asked to highlight the Linnie Blooms Stencils or Masks and show some summer fun.

Summer fun to me is getting some time to relax by the pool or at the boat.....and watch the butterflies go by.  I used some watercolor card stock and inked around the butterfly mask with Tim Holtz distress ink in Salty Ocean and Dusty Concord.

I used the Linnie Blooms Canvas Shape (Butterfly) and spritzed it first with Dragonfly Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.  Then I sprayed it Dylusions White Linen through the Circle Confetti UmWow Studio stencil and used some MME enamel dots and some bling antenna!  Here's a close-up!

I added a little glimmer mist spritz to the white twine......and I used my NEW Zutter Distrezz-It-All tool to really distress out the edges!

The patterned paper is from Prima Marketing (All About Me), and the color cardstock is AC.  The sentiment is from Unity Stamp Company Itty Bitty Feather Flight.

Wishing you lots of butterfly dreams this summer!

The snowflake is cut with a Nestability, and the paper is from Basic Grey.  That gorgeous lace and ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.  You can get it at their store for 10% off with discount code KN10!
