There She Goes - Sketch Challenge

There She Goes Stamps has a sketch challenge during their release week.  I've been away all week, so I'm sliding in during the last couple days to submit a card.  I used some paper from the Carta Bella Winter Fun paper pack and Wrapped in Joy and Snowy Days stampsets from There She Goes.  The burlap ribbon is from 3 Girl Jam.

Stickled Storage Labels

It's time for a new linky party at the All That Stickles blog!  Our theme is anything goes, but you have to use Distress Stickles.

For my project, I decided to make crafty labels for my card-storage containers.  I love having my own crafty room, and part of what I love is being surrounded by fun crafty organization.  I have been keeping my completed cards in three containers.  One is for Operation Write Home; in it are standard sized cards with no glitter and thinner embellishments.  The next container holds all my Christmas cards.  (Some of these also go to Operation Write Home, but I make a LOT of Christmas cards....)  The final container are the cards for home-use.  The post-it notes weren't cutting it anymore!

My labels are made from scrap paper.  I've used Antique Linen Distress Stickles on the center of the flower.  The labels are made with Stickles in Cotton Candy, Holly and True Blue.  If you want to see how I've made these titles, check out this  week's "Tips and Techniques" on the All That Stickles blog.

Link up with us.  You could win one of these wonderful prizes!

Merry and Bright

If you are looking for the All That Stickles blog hop - go HERE!

Unity Stamp Company has posted a new Be Inspired Challenge!  I decided to challenge myself with both their color palette and the sketch.  Using a flower from Unity's Each Moment is Success (from the Stamp of the Week club) and a sentiment from Unity's Twinkling Joy, here's what I came up with...

The flowers are embellished with TH Distress Glitter in Festive Berries.  (Love that stuff!)  The paper is from Basic Grey Nordic Holiday.  The burlap ribbon is from 3 Girl Jam.  I created the background for the flowers using TH Distress Paint.  Here's a close-up of those flowers!

And here's the sketch and color palette....

Are you inspired?

Seasons Greetings - Flowers

It's challenge day over at Christmas Card Challenges, and this week, our optional challenge is to create something using flowers!  I LOVE flowers, don't you?

I created my card using Basic Grey Nordic Holiday, 3 Girl Jam burlap and crinkle ribbon and a flower stamp from Unity Stamp Company.  I used my new Tim Holtz distress glitter on the flowers.  Love this stuff!!  Hardly any glitter mess!!

Sunflowers

Angela from Unity Stamp Company was posting cards with Phyllis Harris images all morning, so I got inspired to pull out some Phyllis Harris stamps.  They really are such beautiful images.  This one is called Face the Sunshine.  I'm going to add it to the Little Scrap Pieces Fun Friday linky party!

I'd stamped the sentiment, but I couldn't quite find the right place for it on the outside, so I just had to decorate the inside too! :)  The girl is colored with TH distress markers.  Love these things SO much!

The paper is Bo Bunny Ambrosia Roses.

Then, I broke out my Unity Wild Poppy, Chicken Wire and Now and Always sets - along with TH distress paints and inks to create this tag.

Fall Greetings

Tuesday Throwdown has a pumpkin challenge this week!  Yay, a reason to ink up my favorite Unity Stamps "Scarecrow Thankful for You."  The greeting is from a different Unity set (Owl Bring Fall Greetings).  The papers are from the scrap pile (yay!), and the image is colored with TH distress markers.

Another Sweet Christmas

I really love making Christmas cards.  This week's There She Goes (TSG) stamps challenge is to create a Christmas card.  A perfect fit.

I used Nikki Sivils Gingerbread collection and TSG's Wrapped in Joy to make this card.  I love the soft and sweet non-traditional colors!

I really love the UmWow Studios chip covered in Liquid Pearls, Stickles and Glossy Accents too!

A Ghostly Witch

It's challenge day at Clear It Out Challenge blog! For this challenge, our theme is Halloween, and our stash item is something orange.

For my challenge, I used some fun papers from Echo Park's Chillingsworth Manor collection.  Haha, I just love that name.  This ghostly witch can be found at Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet (in Reece's Scrap).  Can you tell I forgot to use my stash item and added it on after I finished?  LOL, that's what I did, but I love the extra little bit of bling I used.

Snow Cute Digi

3 Girl Jam is playing with digital stamps for their current challenge!  I have quite a few digital images and went through and found this cute snowman I'd gotten from Tiddly Inks.  Of course, I had to use some 3GJ crinkly ribbon and some of their burlap ribbon!

The background is created with Tim Holtz distress paints and inks.  I love playing with these!

Stickled Witch

It's challenge time at the All That Stickles blog!  Our theme is Halloween!  I don't normally make halloween cards, so I don't have a lot of halloween stuff, but this stamp from Unity is one I just HAD to have because of the sentiment!

The chip is from UmWow Studios and is decorated with Black Diamond Stickles and glossy accents.  The rose has Stardust Stickles.  Here's a close-up:

Tim Holtz - Tag for October

As many of you know, I recently went to Scrapfest in Minneapolis.  There, I took a class from the ever-so-fabulous Tim Holtz.  I loved it.....and loved some of the products so much that I had to go out and get some!  I bought a few new distress paints and distress glitters.  When the Tim Holtz blog posted their Tags of October challenge, I decided to play with my new stuff.  I don't have any TH Halloween stamps for the center image, but this one from Unity is seriously perfect.  Love it so much....especially the sentiment!

I really love the background I created!  Love my little flowers, love the image, love everything about this tag!  I used the Ranger water-color paper, distress paint (Seedless Preserves, Picket Fence, and Wild Honey), Distress Ink in Black Soot, Remnant Rubs, Black Tinsel Twine, Lavish Trimmings, TH Distress Markers, Industrious Sticker Borders, Distress Glitter (Seedless Preserves and Black Soot), and, of course, Glossy Accents.  The Stickles used were Champagne (for the flower centers) and Stardust (witch-hat) flower.  The stamp is You Witch by Unity!

And just for fun, here's a picture of me, Tim Holtz and a friend I met at Scrapfest (Wanda).  Tim was teasing us about taking pictures of him unloading boxes.  Tee hee!

So much fun!

Nicest Thoughts

When I first saw There She Goes (TSG) Stamps Phyllis, I loved the sentiment so much I knew I just had to have her.  She is one of the TSG Sock Goblins.  Love, love!  I finally got to order her, and she came in yesterday.  I just had to ink her up!

I colored her with my TH Distress Markers.  The paper is from the scrap pile.  Isn't that sentiment the best?  And don't you just love Phyllis?

I'm submitting this card to the TSG Color Challenge (pumpkin, chocolate, and aqua) and to the SWAT fussy cutting challenge!

Craftily yours,

Karen

Enjoy

It's time for mid-challenge inspiration at Clear It Out Challenge! The current challenge is to create something for Thanksgiving!  I love Thanksgiving!  It's always a great family day!  Our stash item is a left-over sentiment from another project.  This time, I used a sticker that was left on a sheet.  Part of the sticker really didn't fit the image or the theme, so I covered it up with the adorable Becky Beaver image from Lacy Sunshine!

The papers are from a mini-album I made as a make-n-take at Scrapfest 2013.  I didn't really love the mini, so I took it apart to use the papers.  No wasting, ya know!

Holiday Lights

It's challenge day over at Christmas Card Challenges, and this week, our optional challenge is to create something using a picture with tangled up lights as inspiration

Using a holiday set I picked up from There She Goes Stamps, I created this cutie...

Happy Friday

Happy Friday, Friends with Flair!

A few weeks ago, I won a blog candy from Gaylynn at Neat Nook Creations.  Thanks to Gaylynn!  Yay, a new Boo Unity Itty-Bitty!  Fun.  We have a craft lunch at work where I design a card and me and a group of co-workers all make them together.  I decided to use the Boo Crew for this month's creation.

Simple and fun card!  The sentiment on the inside says "From the BOO Crew".

Cute - Inside and Out

There She Goes has a new challenge this week.  I adore these stamps and love the weekly challenges!  This week, the challenge is to create a card and to decorate the OUTSIDE and the INSIDE!  Love it.

Using TSG Snowy Days, here's what I came up with outside...

And inside...

That inside sentiment cracks me up!

A Perfect Day

It's challenge day at Clear It Out Challenge blog! For this challenge, our theme is Thanksgiving, and our stash item is a left-over sentiment from another project.  This is a tough challenge!  Are you up to it?  If you are like me, you don't just have sentiments stamped laying around.  What I did was find a partially used sheet of paper that had "tags" on the back.  I cut the sentiment for this card from those.

The papers are from my stash.  The ribbon flower is made from a Gluber and some 3 Girl Jam crinkle ribbon.  That adorable image is from Bugaboo Digi Stamps!

Join us for the challenge!

Karen
