December DBD - Loving It!

Happy Thanksgiving! I am loving making my December DBD pages using dies from the planner line at Elizabeth Craft Designs.  Here's the latest:

On the left side, I was inspired by a comment in the Facebook ECD Planner Group about what to do with scraps. I cut a bunch of circles and created a page! For the right side, I kept it simple, but I really love that sentiment! (And I can add more stuff later when I add a picture to it - if I feel like it needs more!)

I added dots (with a Molotow acrylic paint pen in metallic silver) and lines around the circles.  Here's a close-up:

The supplies from ECD are below, and the papers are a combination of G45 and Tim.

Thanks for looking!

Karen

Hope

Hey Y'all Dare 2B Artzy'ers!  Today, I'm doing a post to provide INSPIRE-ation for the Dare 2B Artzy Challenge, All You Need is Love!  FuN!

I'm using one of the NEW Dare 2B Artzy Stamps, My Path Lighthouse.  Here's what I did:

The background is done with the following Tim Holtz Distress Inks:  Squeezed Lemonade, Salty Ocean, Broken China, Victorian Velvet, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch.  I then spritzed with water to get the mottled effect.  I used Picket Fence Distress Crackle Paint through an Elizabeth Craft Designs template (Hearts and Paw Prints) to add the hearts across the "sky".  The lighthouse is colored with the following Copics:

Y00, Y02, W0, W2, C1, C3, E41, E42, B32, B34, V91, V93, BV20, BV23, E33

Here's a close-up:

Well, thanks for stopping by....and do join our challenge!  Who doesn't need a little more hearts and LoVe!

Distress Crayons

I had a chance to play with the new Tim Holtz Distress Crayons for Cut@Home this week!  I used them to make backgrounds for my cards.  Here's my video showing you how I used them:

And here's my cards...  For the first one, I added some Tim Holtz Spiky Flowers and some sequins.

I embellished the next one with big flowers (colored with Copics) from Dare 2B Artzy.  I also splattered some ink on the page.

I then mixed some of the crayons with Gesso and used an UmWow Studio butterfly stencil.  (The background on this one is Distress Ink.)

And finally, I embellished this one with some Tattered Lace

Bokeh Technique for Cards

My crafty mentor, Sharon, taught me a new-to-me technique called Bokeh.  Bokeh is typically a photography term referring to points of light that are blurred.  I am sharing this technique over at Cut@Home today. It uses Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Hero Huges Unicorn (white) pigment ink.

The video shows it best.

And here's the final products:

Merry Christmas Birdies

I'm up over at the Timeless Twine blog with my last post as a Timeless Twine-ista!  It's been a beautiful, inspirational two years!  I have loved working with the owner, Stacey, and the design team lead, Deb, SO much.  These two fine beautiful souls have enriched my life, and I took forward to a forever-friendship with them.  I also have loved working with my DT sisters over the last couple years.

Today, just a couple days before Christmas, I am sharing two FuN cards with you just to show you how much fun a little Timeless Twine adds to your projects.  Check it out!

Both of these cards use Timeless Twine in Cherry Red and fun Silver Star Sequins from Bella Creationz.  The paper is from Heartfelt Creations Sparkling Poinsettia, and the stamps are from the Tim Holtz Bird Crazy line.

Thank you ALL for your sweet comments over the last couple years.  I wish all of you the merriest of Christmases ever.

Craftily yours,

Karen

Merry Christmas

I'm posting today at Bella Creations/Timeless Twine.  I love Christmas and love creating for Christmas.  Today's card is just that - a Christmas card!

I am making this card with my crafter group at work.  Just enough fun sparkly fun.  I used the beautiful Timeless Twine in I decided to create a Christmas card using FuN ornaments and Timeless Twine in Aqua Blue.

That FUN sentiment is from the NEW Bella Creations Holiday Sentiment Stamps.  I used some pretty Bella Creationz Sequins available soon in the Bella Creationz Store.  The die is from the fabulous Tim Holtz (Festive Scribbles), and the paper is some patterned paper I purchased from the open rack at Michaels - as is the glitter paper.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Have you "liked" Timeless Twine on Facebook yet?  You should, so you stay up on all the lovely twine-tastic goodness....

Crazy Congrats Bird

I'm up on the Timeless Twine blog today with this fun graduation card for my friend's son.  I decided to make him this CAS card with the Tim Holtz Crazy bird.  I love the look on the bird's face, and imaging this must be how a newly minted adult might feel!

That gorgeous twine is Aqua Blue and Red (Firecracker) Timeless Twine, and I used some pretty Bella Creationz Sequins.  These sequins were part of a kit sold about a year ago, but there are oodles of fun sequins in the Bella Creationz Store.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Have you "liked" Timeless Twine on Facebook yet?  You should, so you stay up on all the lovely twine-tastic goodness....

Stuck! Sketches

The Linnie Blooms design team is honored to be featured at Stuck?! Sketches.  Here's the super fun sketch we were given...

The pic in the lay-out is my mom and me at Scrapfest 2013 at the Mall of America.  So Much Fun!

I used Tim Holtz Ideo-logy Wallflower paper, a circle, flower and leaves from Linnie Blooms Set of Canvas Dies, and a variety of tape.  The flower and leaves are inked up with distress inks.  The circle center of the flower is inked up with alcohol ink.  I finished it off with some Timeless Twine and a word band from Tim Holtz Idea-ology line.  (I painted the word band with Tim Holtz distress paint in Stormy Sky.

Framing Daisy

I'm excited to be showing a project on the Cut at Home blog today with the LO below.  I used a picture of my MIL's bull mastiff (and my husband) to create a lay-out.  (The dog's name is Daisy!)

For this project, I used Tim Holtz Ideology Wallflower Stash paper (which is seriously GORGEOUS!) and the Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Eight, but most any of these fabulous nesting dies would work.  Here's a close-up of my project.  Full details, a video and more close-up pictures can be found at the Cut at Home blog.
