Hello Fall

I'm up on the Timeless Twine blog today with a happy Fall card!  I'm definitely NOT a summer girl, too blasted hot!  We are still having 85 deg days, but it's WAY better than those that are over 100!!

Here's my card today...

In celebration of Fall, I created this card using the Timeless Twine in Autumn Splendor and the NEW Solid Orange.   The paper is from Basic Grey {Life of the Party} and the stamp is from Unity Stamp Company.  And, of course....the owl had to have googly eyes!

3 Girl JAM and Craftin' Desert Diva's Blog Hop

Welcome to the Craftin' Desert Divas and 3 Girl JAM Fall Blog Hop!

I love Fall!  Pretty leaves, cooler weather.....and hopefully, here in No California this year, some RAIN!   Fall hasn't hit here yet.  As I write this, it's over 95 degrees.....but I'm hoping it's coming!

If you have arrived from Tara's blog, you are in the right place.  I'm your second stop on this fabulous hop!

For my card, I used gold and white card stock with a leaf embossing folder to create this fun Fall card.  The stamp is SO cute.  I seriously love this sweet lil bear!  It's from the Craftin' Desert Diva's Hey Pumpkin Set!  I also used some 3 Girl JAM Diagonal Striped ribbon to embellish the card.  The bear is colored with Copic markers.  Then I used a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor cardstock and inked it up with all of the Fall colors in Distress Ink.  I stamped the leaf part of the bear stamp over and over and fussy cut the leaves.  I love how they turned out!

It's All Good

Six days ago, I turned 50, and today, I'm celebrating that achievement on the 3 Girl JAM blog!  I'm so excited to enter the decade when I will retire from work!  When I turned 30 and 40, I felt like it was the "end" of something (i.e. my 20s and 30s), but now, I'm looking forward to the beginning of my post-work life.  I have SO much fun ahead - It's All Good....hence, the inspiration for my card!

The paper for this card is from my scrap-pile, and the Stamp is Unity Stamp Company {Boots, Class and Sass}.  The sentiment was a grab-bag stamp from Unity.  That gorgeous ribbon is from the 3 Girl JAM Coffee bundle and the lace is from the 3 Girl JAM distressed lace bundle.  You can pick these up for an very sweet 10% discount using code KN10.  Like a little present for YOU!

And if you haven't joined our 3 Girl JAM challenge this month (birthday w/ ribbon), be sure to check it out for a chance to win some yummy 3 Girl JAM goodness!

Oh yeah, today is my birthday!  Gonna have a good time.  :)  And it's my 50th birthday!  How fun is that?!  This is the decade in which I will retire from work and have WAY more time to CRAFT!

The ONLY downer today is that my youngest son is SO far away - somewhere in the middle of Oklahoma (in the US Army).  So proud of him, but I miss him.  Today's card is dedicated to him.

I'm so OVER the heat of summer and ready for Fall.  So much in love with these sweet little lovebirds. I created this note-holder for my office desk.  (My husband cut the wood shapes, and I decorated it...)

There is a clothespin glued to the back to keep important notes handy.  The project uses Timeless Twine in Olive Green and Chocolate Chip Brown.  The paper is from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Wallflower Stash.

YOU are Loved

Happy Friday, Friends with Flair!  Here's my card for today!

The girl is colored with TH Distress Markers, and the Linnie Blooms Hearts are inked with TH Distress Ink in Dried Marigold, Dusty Concord, Rusty Hinge, Chipped Sapphire, and Salty Ocean through one of his layering masks.  Whenever I play with my blooms, I need texture....serious texture, so I dry embossed the background and, of course, distressed the edges with my Distrezz-it-All.  The shiny hearts are from UmWow Studio and are covered in Liquid Pearls.

The stamp is a Suzi Blu creation from Unity Stamp Company.  I'm entering this card into this month's Unity Be Inspired challenge.  I got pretty close to the colors, at least the orange and purple.... LOL!
