Frame-It

I took a break from Christmas card making to make a card for Elizabeth Craft Designs, Designer Challenge!  This month, we are challenged to create a card using the Garden Notes, Frame It dies.  These come in rectangle, circle, square, and ovals.  They cut the shape and leave behind stitching.  The dies alternate "dot" stitching and "dash" stitching.  Fun!

And there's a prize.  All you have to do is answer a question on their blog!   Be sure to check it out at their blog for your chance to win!

Here's my Frame It creation - with the Circles!

I used two sizes to show off the variation of stitching.  How fun!  The White Soft Finish Cardstock card front is cut with the Dashing Rectangle dies.  That gorgeous paper is from the 6x6 Rainbow Bark collection.  Love that paper.  I added a bird from the Feathered Friends Clear Stamps, die cut with the coordinating dies.  I added a few Susan's Garden Feverfew flowers - so cute!  I finished the card off with some half pearls.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Flowery, Glittery Sleigh

Soon, it's going to be an amazing Merry Christmas....but today, it's Designer Challenge Day at Elizabeth Craft Designs!  That means there's a ton of fun and crafty inspiration on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog.  This month, we are challenged to create a card using flowers in our Christmas creations.  And there's a prize.  All you have to do is answer a question on their blog!   Be sure to check it out at their blog for your chance to win!

Here's my Christmas creation with flowers:

How fun!  The sleigh is Santa's Sleigh die, and I cut twice, one for the sled part which I glittered up with True Red Silk Microfine Glitter, and the other for the runners with Tim Holtz metallic paper.  The "snow" is cut with the Adventure Edges, and I used a glitter line sticker to embellish the sleigh.  I also put together a few Feverfew flowers to embellish the sleigh.  The sky is made with Distress Oxide Inks in Faded Jeans, Salty Ocean and Broken China.  The sentiment is from the Classic Christmas Clear stamps, and I added a few Nuvo drops in Ivory Seashell.  The presents were colored with Copics, and the bows are also part of the Tim Holtz metallic paper.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Poinsettia

Elizabeth Craft Designs has some NEW and AMAZING stamps designed by Krista.  Like the one I used to make this:

LoVe!  The background is created by stamping some of the smaller images from the Poinsettia Clear Stamps and coloring them in.  I then die cut it with the Dashing Rectangles dies.  The large flower is also part of that stamp set and is die cut with the coordinating die set.  The Copics I used were:  R35, R37, R39, YG61, YG63, YG13, YG17, E42, Y26 and B000.  The sentiment is from the Classic Christmas Sentiments set and is die cut with a Stitched Fishtail Banner die.

'tis the Season for Snowflakes

Christmas is coming!  Yippee!  I love Christmas and I love making Christmas cards.  Here's a fun and simple one using products from Elizabeth Craft Designs:

The Snowflakes die set has three sizes.  This is the medium sized one.  The "back" part is a Tim Holtz Metallic Paper.  The magic is to put the large adhesive on the white paper before die cutting.  Then it's super easy to create the snowflake.

The sentiment is from the Classic Christmas Sentiments.  I just hand cut the fishtails on both sides.  The card front is cut out with the Dashing Rectangles die set.  The embossing on the pack is from Taylored Expressions.

That's it.  So simple and so fun.  My supplies list is below.  I couldn't find the embossing folder, but really, anything "wintry" would work.

Karen
