You Fill My Heart - Designer Challenge

It's time for a new Designer Challenge over at Elizabeth Craft Designs!  There's a $20 gift card available to win over at the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog.  All you have to do is answer a question on their blog!   Be sure to check it out at their blog for your chance to win!

This month, we are challenged to create a card with the theme:  You Fill My Heart.  I took it quite literally when I created this:

The paper I used is from the Fly & Scrap 12x12 collection, and I absolutely LoVe it!  The only paper on this card not from that collection is the card base and sentiment panel (which are 100lb Soft Finish Cardstock).

I die cut the heart using the Puzzle Heart Die. The sentiment is from the all-new Valentine's Sentiments collection.  The flower is from the Blooms & Leaves clear stamps and is colored with Copics:  R81, R83, R85, B32, B34, B45, V20, V22, V25, Y23, Y26, YG51, and YG63.  I die cut it with the coordinating dies.

I decided to add FuN to the inside using the General Pop-Ups.  These dies make it SO easy to create a fun pop-up (no measuring, scoring, etc!).  I die cut a piece of patterned paper using the Stitched Rectangles and then used it for the pop-up piece.  On it, I added another sentiment (and heart) - cut with the Stitched Rectangles.  I also added a few extra puzzle pieces adhered with very thin beading wire to make them "float" above the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by.  I am so thrilled with how this card turned out.  When I saw the puzzle die, this was my first thought; I think it turned out pretty cool!

Karen

Krista Schneider Release

It's been such an exciting couple weeks with all the fabulous new releases at release at Elizabeth Craft Designs!  Today, the design team is focusing on the new releases for Krista Schneider.  LLLLove to color - and LLLLove the new stamps.

I colored up the Birds & Branches Background stamp.  This is a large stamp, and I wanted to make an A2 card, so I cut it into three pieces.  One piece uses the Stitched Rectangle dies.  I added a sentiment from the NEW Spring Sentiments and cut it out with the Stitched Circles!

I also cut a couple of the NEW Dashing Squares dies for a second card!  To this card, I added the adorable little girl from the Garden Party Clear Stamps and die cut it with the coordinating dies.  I added some Nuvo drops and a sentiment from the General Sentiments set.

The Copic colors I used:
Y13, Y15, Y18, Y26, BG02, BG05, BG07, B12, B14, B16, YR12, YR14, RV14, RV17, RV19, E31, E33, V15, V22, V25, YG11, YG13, and Y25

Whew, that was a LOT of Copics!  I had SO much fun coloring the background and the little girl!  All of my design team sisters have cards posted on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog for this release.  Be sure to check it out!

Butterfly Calendar

It's my day to post over at Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I wanted to make a fun birthday present for a girlfriend who is very into butterflies and decided to make her a calendar!

The full instructions are on the Elizabeth Craft Designs post.  Basically, I took Fly & Scrap paper, and covered bar coasters.  Then I downloaded a printable calendar and attached them onto the inside of the "book" and embellished with stamps from the Bugs & Butterflies clear stamps.

Here's a pic of the back of the calendar:

ModaScrap Release

It's time for the ModaScrap release at Elizabeth Craft Designs!  Woo hoo!  If you have not seen the gorgeous, fun designs from ModaScrap, be sure to check out their website to see all the beautiful paper, stamps and dies.  For this release, I'm honored to be featuring a few of her new dies and stamps in the below cards!

This first one uses the new Dashing Squares and True Love dies.  I also used the ModaScrap Simply Love 12x12 paper!  Beautiful!

In my card, I used the Bunch of Flowers 4 from Elizabeth Craft Designs to cut the flower.  Before cutting, I had adhered some of their clear adhesive.  Then I covered them with True Red Silk Microfine Glitter.  The Dashing series of dies are so cool.  In this close-up, you can see the creative edges it creates.  It ads such beautiful texture to a card!

The next card I made uses the new ModaScrap Lace Card die.  With this die, you can create a fun pocket or just use it as an embellishment (like I did here).  The patterned paper is from the ModaScrap Fly & Scrap 6x6 paper.  I also used the new Wedding stamps to create the sentiment and cut it with the Elizabeth Craft Designs Fitted Circles dies.

So easy for an anniversary or wedding card.  All of my teamies have cards posted on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog for this release.  Be sure to check it out!

Thank you for stopping by!

Hooray, It's Today!

Happy New Year!  Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeals, I am thrilled to say that I am on the 2018 Elizabeth Craft Designs team!  The announcement is up on their blog today!  I love being on this team.  My teammates are super supportive, and the owner and her family are so sweet.  Being on this team is fabulously warm and inspirational.  On top of this, they have a really fun variety of products!

To celebrate, I'm posting a fun card made with products from their store.

The paper is from one of my favorite collections ever.  It's called Fly & Scrap.  In this card, I used the 6x6 set.  The stamps are from the Fashions 3 set and are die cut with the coordinating dies.  I colored them with the following Copic makers:

Blouse:  B12, B14, BV11, BV13, Y26
Shorts:  B93, B95, BV11, BV13 (I created the pattern on the "denim" by spritzing some blending solution on a piece of a wash cloth and dabbing it on....then colored the belt)
Glasses:  Y26, C1, C3

The sentiment is from the Fashionable Phrases sentiment set.  The card is embellished with a Lace Corner die cut, some Glitter Border Stickers, and some pearls.
