Oh Deer - Happy Holidays

Christmas Card Challenges has a new (and optional) challenge this week.  This week's challenge is a photo challenge.  The photo is a tree with lights and ornaments.

I got inspiration from the lights and the color palette for my card!

Ok, it's a stretch, but I *needed* to use this adorable image from Unity Stamp Company!  The paper is Kaisercraft Home for Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you join us in the challenge!  No time like the present to get a start on those FuN Christmas Cards!

Growing in Unity Blog Hop

Welcome to my stop on the Growing in Unity Blog Hop.  If you came from Laura Mooney's blog, you are heading in the right direction.  If you just happened upon my blog today, I'd recommend starting at the Unity blog and comment along the way for your best chance to win a prize!

I used two kits to create a birthday card today.  They are Blow Your Mind and Beautiful Elements.  Here's my card:

I love that huge flower!  The background is done with TH distress inks in Salty Ocean, Broken China and Worn Lipstick.  I then stamped the "mesh" with Dare 2B Artzy Chocolate Chip ink.  The flower is colored with Copic markers, Y00, Y13, Y15, Y18, Y19 and Y28.  I finished the card off with a Happy Birthday Sentiment from Elizabeth Craft Designs, some lace and Nuvo drops.

Your next stop on the hop is Aimee Phillips's blog.  Be sure to leave some bloggy love along the way for your best chance to win!  And thank you for stopping by today!

Happy Humpday, Unity Friends!  Today, I created a Valentine's Day card using Alfie - Heart & Soul Mouse.  Alfie was a stamp-of-the-week.  So many great stamps in my collection came from that program! Here's what I created:

Omigosh, he is so freakin' cute!  To make this card, I used the following:

Dare 2B Artzy, Artsy Doodles Paper
Elizabeth Craft Designs, Stitched Rectangles
Tattered Lace, Doily Flourish

Memory Box, Small Ringlets
Roses and Pearls from my stash

Growing in Unity, Day 2 - Life is Better with Friends

Welcome to Day 2 of my Growing in Unity Week.  Be sure to leave comments each day for a chance to win a fabulous prize package of 25 random stamps from Unity Stamp Company!  Whoop!  Kathryn is also Growing in Unity this week.  She's got some GrEaT stuff lined up for you too.

Today, I created a card that is a bit outside my normal wheelhouse using Unity Stamp Company, Spanky!  (I love the name of this stamp-of-the-week set!!)

Eeek, I love that lil bird!  The background of this card is Ken Oliver Color Burst on TH watercolor cardstock.  The birdie is colored with Y06, Y08 and YR16 Copics.  I added some pink Nuvo drops for the heart and some yellow ones to the background.  In both cases, the Nuvo picked up some of the background ink (which is why they are all or partly green.  I thought that was a cool effect.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and for your sweet comments.

Karen

These colors screamed vintage at me, so I colored up this adorable little snowman from Unity Stamp Company with my Copic markers (C1, C3, W0, W2 with a YR14 nose):

The background is Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Mustard Yellow, Mowed Lawn and Broken China with the edges done in Black Soot.  I stamped the mesh stamp and the sentiment stamp (from a grab bag) with Walnut Stain and used Encore Gold ink for the splats.  I colored the flower with Copic markers R83, R85 and R89.

Unity Growing in Unity - Day Two

Welcome to my second day as the Growing in Unity Girl!

Yesterday I used the KOTM of May 2014 called Hey Girl. I used it again today to celebrate birthdays!  My own birthday is just a few days away, so I just had to make a card!

And because I'm getting up their in years (it's just a number), I added the following sentiment to the inside.  The sentiment is from one of my favorite Unity Kits - called Have Some Sass.

So funny!  Love it!

Thanks for stopping by.  Please be sure to leave a comment.  At the end of the week, I'll draw two names to win grab bags of 25 stamps from Unity Stamp Company!

Unity Growing in Unity - Day One

Say it with love.  When I think of Unity Stamp Company, this sentiment just about sums it up.  It's a great company and a great community of really nice people.  I haven't been posting much in the Show & Tell page lately, just because I'm SO far behind!  But I check it out regularly and LoVe seeing all the beauties.  Like this beauty from KOTM of May 2014 called Hey Girl.

I colored her up with the following Copics:

Skin:  E000, E00, E01
Hair:  E21, E23, E25
Clothes:  YG03, YG06, YG07 with a wee bit of RV55
Balloons: Y02, Y05, YG03, YG06, Rv52, RV55
Shadow:  C1, C3

I wanted to keep her simple, so I just added some sequins for sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please be sure to leave a comment.  At the end of the week, I'll draw two names to win grab bags of 25 stamps from Unity Stamp Company!

Whoo Hoo!

Trend Report - Red, Blue, Gold and Flax

I'm doing the trend report this month for Cut@Home!  It's all about the color combination - red, blue, flax and gold.  Pretty.  Here are the two cards I created...

This first one uses a variety of scraps from Heartfelt Creations.  The stamp is from Unity Stamp Company called Santa Baby.  For all the furry parts of the suit, I added some distress Stickles in Picket Fence.

The next one uses Graphic 45 St Nicholas paper!  Love this new line!

To see all the fun details, be sure to check out my Cut@Home blog post!
