Christmas Artzy Penguins

My favorite time of year is coming.  Time to craft with my favorite animal for one of my favorite craft shop - Dare 2B Artzy!

I used the Dare 2B Artzy Holly Days Collection Paper Pack. I love the collection of patterns!  The background paper is so fun.  No need to add a sentiment (unless you want to!).  The adorable penguin and tree are from the Dare 2B Artzy Penguin Fun stamps.

Here's a close-up where you can see that I added some Frosted Lace Stickles to make that hat's fur a little more fluffy!

Birthday Rose

I never have enough birthday cards, so I decided to take a break from Christmas card making to make this fun birthday card!

I'd never done a red-head before.  I think she turned out pretty cute.  :)  The stamp is from Paper Nest dolls, and the paper is Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose.  I forgot to write down the Copics I used.  (Sorry!)  I'm entering this card into the Paper Nest Dolls Challenge #10.  Thank you for stopping by today!

Gerda Steiner Designs - Guest Designer

I'm so stoked today to be a guest designer at Gerda Steiner Designs!  Hope you stop by their shop to check out their CuTe stamps??!  They have digital and clear stamps available!  I used the Puppy Kisses for Christmas stamp to create a couple cards.

For this first card, I used the stamp  paired with Kaisercraft Home for Christmas paper.  I embellished the card with some lace, a doily and some pearls.

For this next card, I used a scrap of Dare 2B Artzy paper along with some white paper that I ran through an embossing folder.  I embellished it with a sentiment from Tim Holtz dies, some sequins and silver twine.  I colored in the fur with diamond Stickles.

Joyeux Noel

Only 2 months and 9 days until Christmas!  Whoop!  I found a new-to-me stamp company, Gerda Steiner Designs and am entering their linking for "Share Your Design" Challenge.

I used Gerda Steiner Design's All Tangled Up along with some Heartfelt Creations Celebrate the Season paper.  Love that sweet kitty with his mess of lights!  I colored him up with the following Copic Markers

Fun image to color with all kinds of cute details.  I love his little brown paws!  :)

Dare 2B Artzy Thank you

It's my day to post over at Dare 2B Artzy!  Whoop.

I made this card for a co-worker who helped me out of a jam.

I used the beautiful Dare 2B Artzy Modern Bliss paper along with the Tangle Jumpstart Stamps.  I love these stamps.  They can be used either as they come, or you can use a thin marker to add some fun detail, like the line and dots I added on the petals.  I also used the Dare 2B Artzy Thanks Die for the sentiment.  I cut it three times and glued it together to add some dimension.

The Copics I used were Y21, Y23, BG72, BG73, YG03, YG06.  After I colored the YGs, I added some colorless blender by spraying it on a washcloth.  Here's a close-up:

Christmas Owl

Chrismas is a little less than three months away!  Got to get to gettin' at those holiday projects!  That's what I decided to do for Dare 2B Artzy this week:

I used the all new Dare 2B Artzy Holly Days Collection Paper Pack. I love the collection of patterns!  I stamped the owl from Dare 2B Artzy You're a Hoot Stamps in Dare 2B Artzy Chocolate Chip Ink.  Worked great coloring it in with the following Copic Markers:

YG17, G29, R37, E55, E57, E31, E33

And I used the owl/star die to cut it out with that teeny little border.  Here's a close-up:

Joy to the World

Tiddly Inks has a new challenge - ANYTHING Goes.  Hey, I can do that!  And since I love the coloring, I thought I'd try my hand at an all colored card.

The image is Wryn Goes Caroling.  After coloring the background, I fussy cut her out and glued her on.  The sentiment is also from the same set.  I colored her with Copic markers, but unfortunately, I put them away before writing them all down.  The stars are done with my Molotow Acrylic Paint Pen.

I used the Dare 2B Artzy Penguin Fun Set and a teeny piece of Dare 2B Artzy Winter Plaid Paper along with a $1 wood ornament from Michael's to create a Christmas tree ornament.

First, I painted the whole ornament with Tim Holtz Distress Paint in Festive Berries.  I then used on of Tim's Stencils to add the smattering of Tim Holtz Distress Paint in Picket Fence.  I cut a small piece of the D2BA paper and glued it on along with one of those adorable penguins, the chunk of ice and the sentiment.  I finished it off by adding some seam binding ribbon to the top and some white lace to the edge.

I wish I had my tree up, so I could get a picture of it on my tree.  Yes, indeed, I would have my tree up 12 months a year if my family would let me!  LoVe Christmas!

Christmas Wish

Artzy Birthday Wishes

It's my birthday month!  Yay me!  I love birthdays.  I love them even more as I get older because it means that I am just that much closer to retirement.  Woo Hoo!!

It's my date to post over at Dare 2B Artzy!  Here's what I did:

I used Dare 2B Artzy, Artzy Doodles paper along with the fun-filled stamp and die set, Birthday Balloons with Dies!  I stamped the balloons and string with Dare 2B Artzy Premium Ink in Totally Black.  When I lined up the string, I got it as close as possible and then drew in the little bit of gap with a Copic Multi-liner pen.  Then, I stamped in the color for the balloons using Dare 2B Artzy Premium Ink in Bright Pumpkin and Sunset Yellow.  The very front balloon had white stars, but I wanted them to be yellow, so I colored them in with Copic Marker Y18.  Love how this premium ink doesn't smear on the edges with alcohol markers.

I fussy cut and popped up the flower from the Artzy Doodles Paper.

Say it with love.  When I think of Unity Stamp Company, this sentiment just about sums it up.  It's a great company and a great community of really nice people.  I haven't been posting much in the Show & Tell page lately, just because I'm SO far behind!  But I check it out regularly and LoVe seeing all the beauties.  Like this beauty from KOTM of May 2014 called Hey Girl.

Thinking of You

There's a new sketch challenge up over at Tiddly Ink Challenges.  It's a great way to color up a Molly.  This time, I decided to use "Molly Shares."  (The sentiment is also from Tiddly Inks, but I can't remember which set....I had it printed out and thought it fit well!)

Celebrate the Season

Today, I'm posting a card to enter into the Paper Nest Dolls Challenge.  The image I used is the Paper Nest Dolls Santa Ellie with Gift.  I seriously adore her hair ringlets.  I hope I did these fabulous curls justice in coloring them!

Trend Report - Red, Blue, Gold and Flax

I'm doing the trend report this month for Cut@Home!  It's all about the color combination - red, blue, flax and gold.  Pretty.  Here are the two cards I created...

This first one uses a variety of scraps from Heartfelt Creations.  The stamp is from Unity Stamp Company called Santa Baby.  For all the furry parts of the suit, I added some distress Stickles in Picket Fence.

The next one uses Graphic 45 St Nicholas paper!  Love this new line!

Dare 2B Artzy Birthday Challenge

There's a NEW and FUN challenge over at Dare 2B Artzy today!  Whoop!  It's all about birthdays....and since this is MY birthday month, it's perfect.  Here's what I did:

I used the Dare 2B Artzy Bright Birthday stamps and the ALL NEW Dare 2B Artzy Modern Bliss Papers.  I also used Dare 2B Artzy Premium Inks found in the Tropical Cube Pack.  I added some Wink of Stella in yellow to the flames.  For the big flames, I stamped in yellow and then dotted the stamp with the orange.  For the little flames I added a little Copic alcohol marker in orange.

Tim Holtz Crazy Dogs

I super LoVe LoVe the Tim Holtz Crazy series - Crazy Cats, Crazy Birds, Crazy Talk, Crazy Things - and now Crazy Dogs.  What?!?!  What could be cuter than these dogs!!!  I used the Talk, Things and Dogs to create these cuties for Cut@Home today.  The first two are colored up with Copic Markers.

CCB and D2BA Product Match-Up

Welcome to my stop on the August 15, Dare 2B Artzy and Canvas Corp Brands, blog hop!  If you just happened upon my stop, be sure to start at the Dare 2B Artzy Blog to get the full hop line-up!  There will be a second hop on August 19 with other member of the design team, so be sure to stop back then too!

I decided to use my products from the two companies to create a mini-album for my upcoming cruise to Alaska.  Here is the cover of the mini.  I had been sent an adorable burlap pillow to use in my project, but I pretty much ruined it playing with it, so I cut it up and used the pieces in various ways.  I dyed some of it with Tattered Angels Sapphire Glimmer Mist and Soft Pewter Gray Glaze for the background of the flower.  The rolled flower is another piece of the pillow that I rolled on a gluber.  I painted the base of the Dare 2B Artzy Shine On Lighthouse with the gray glaze as well.

I love those adorable mini-clothespins from Canvas Corp Brands!  Here's a pic of one of the inside pages that features a Dare 2B Artzy Ahoy Mate fox!  Isn't he super cute?

I'm not an expert with spray inks.  In fact, most of the time, they sorta blow up on me.  hahaha My technique is finger painting.  I finger painted many of the elements of my album (like the Octopus above and this chip piece from UmWow studio) with the gray glaze, the sapphire mist as well as some Tattered Angels High Impact Metallic Paint in Copper.

And another of my favorite pages.  Love those clothespins.  All of the paper used in today's project is from the Canvas Corp Brands Natural Nautical Collection.  So pretty!  The inside pages of my mini are paper over envelopes so I could have a pull out tag for each one for more pictures or for memorabilia!

And one more little element to show.  I recently got my hands on the Dare 2B Artzy Bright Birthday Stamps.  I added the dotted circle stamp from that set in a few places in my book....like this:

Tiddly Inks - Under the Sea Challenge

Tiddly Inks has some of the most adorable mermaids, so I was thrilled when I saw the latest challenge!  Under the sea!

I used one of the super cute mermaids from Amy and Her Mini-Mermaid Friends and a Tiddly Inks sentiment from Ellie Says Be Happy to create this card:

Isn't she adorable?!  I used the following Copic markers:
Hair:  Y13, Y15, Y18, Y26 and Y28
Skin:  E000, E00, E01
Octopus:  YG03, YG06, YG07
Outfit:  G12, G14, B32, B34

I outlined in varying Y00, B000, G00, and YG00.  I also added white dots to her fin and her hair with a Molotow Acrylic White Paint pen.  The paper is Artzy Doodles from Dare 2B Artzy, the banner and box dies are from Gina K designs, the fern and image shape are Spellbinders.

Paper Nest Dolls - Christmas Fun

Love love love to color!  I'm totally obsessed with it.  Love love love that Paper Nest Dolls, Anything Goes Challenge, gives me a reason to color!  (as if I need one!)

This first card uses one of the new Paper Nest Dolls, Christmas / Holidays stamps - Avery with Snowman.
