Sketch Challenge

I recently joined a new Facebook group started by one of my design team sisters where she has posted a sketch challenge. Since I took yesterday off work on a vacay day, I decided to create the below card to meet the challenge:

Love that beautiful paper from the Mystical Winter collection and, of course, the pretty flowers (that are colored with a combination of two distress inks - Weathered Wood and Faded Jeans. The blooming branches leaves is colored with Hickory Smoke, and I added some White Craft Drops. I also added some Faded Jeans Distress Oxide to the stitched circle that also has a bit of gesso through one of the ECD stencils that was part of the Summer Journal Special.  All of the ECD supplies are linked up below. Thanks for checking out my card :)

Today, I'm highlighting some cards I made using alcohol inks over on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog

Eek, so fun and I love how these cards turned out. The supplies are listed below and more pics can be found on the ECD blog. The flower one is being used as inspiration for the Crazy4Challenges post this week which is all about florals.

Slimline Fun

Created two slimline cards recently with supplies from Elizabeth Craft Designs

First, this adorable card using the Monkey die.  How cute!  It follows a sketch over at Crazy4Challenges this week.  Join us!

And then this tri-fold slimline card created using the Parrot die!

Who says parrots can't be pink and orange?!! All of the patterned paper used in these creations is from Dare 2B Artzy. The rest of details are available on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog.

Woof You!

I love dogs more than humans!  Anyone else with me?  Today, at Elizabeth Craft Designs, my design team friends and I are creating Valentine's cards, and I figured this doggie one would be good to enter into the mix!

The paper is from an older ModaScrap paper; sorry it doesn't look like it's available anymore. The rest of my supplies from ECD are linked up below.

Princess and Fairy

Just before the holidays, Joset released the Once Upon a Time Collection. Today, I decided to use these dies again and created these two cards using the Princess and Fairy 1 dies.

Aren't they fun?!  Full details can be found today over on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog!  Thanks for stopping by! I also submitted the Fairy 1 card to the Crazy4Challenges as inspiration. This week's challenge is to use a weather element in the card.

Days 25 to 31 - #DecemberDBD

I finished my December Day-by-Day album that I have been working on with supplies from Elizabeth Craft Designs. My pages are below.

These are the tags that are in the above pocket. While we had a quiet Christmas, I was fortunate enough to see all my sons and their girls.

Chief had a play date.  It did not go horrible.  LOL

I was REALLY bored.  Hahaha, SnapChat filters are so fun.

That's it!  Day 27 is also being used as inspiration to this week's Crazy4Challenge to use green and/or purple!

Animals and Washi

I just love the animals dies from Joset over at Elizabeth Craft Designs, and I love the washi tape that the store is carrying. I combined the two for these two cards!

My Sons

Our design team challenge on the Elizabeth Craft Designs this month is to create a scrapbook page.  I haven't done a "regular" scrapbook page in a while, but I have a really great 6x6 frame, so I thought I'd create a page using a picture of my sons and I had Christmas.

I love the Worn Wood paper in the background and the Mystical Winter Paper too. This way, I can see it in my frame anytime :)

The sketch for this lay-out was inspired by this week's Crazy4Challenges challenge!  Check it out!

Thank you for stopping by!

Places I've Been - Delaware

I'm back to working on my Places I've Been Journal and am posting my Delaware page over on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog today.

The page uses the Planner Essentials 22, Top Loading Pocket. How fun is this?

Love it. Here's a picture of the back and of the tag that goes inside the pocket.

All of the details can be found on the ECD blog.

The page is also being submitted as inspiration for the Crazy4Challenges post this week. Our challenge is in celebration of New Years and is to use something new or try something new. The "new" thing on my page is my Dymo labeler that I got for Christmas. I've wanted one for ages and am excited to use it!

Thank you for stopping by!

Days 13 through 16 - #DecemberDBD

Still playing a bit of catch-up on my #DecemberDBD. I am playing along with others on the Elizabeth Craft Designs - ECD Planners & Journaling Facebook group. Such fun. Here are Days 13 to 16.

I love the "window" on this Planner Essentials House die!

And the backside shows Day 14. When I had COVID-19, I had several people drop off goodies at my door. Very kind.

And as I got better from COVID-19, I got to spend some TV time - love the Christmas classics! Love the sweet reindeer dies from Joset.

And then finally, we had a Zoom online party with my staff where we did a virtual scavenger hunt. It was great fun! In person would be better, but we made the best of the situation.

That's it for today! Thank you for stopping by!  My supplies from Elizabeth Craft Designs are below. Days 15 and 16 use papers from my stash.

Craftily yours,  Karen
