Thinking of You

There's a new sketch challenge up over at Tiddly Ink Challenges.  It's a great way to color up a Molly.  This time, I decided to use "Molly Shares."  (The sentiment is also from Tiddly Inks, but I can't remember which set....I had it printed out and thought it fit well!)

I just love her sweetness, and she is SO much fun to color.  I used the following Copic markers:

Celebrate the Season

Today, I'm posting a card to enter into the Paper Nest Dolls Challenge.  The image I used is the Paper Nest Dolls Santa Ellie with Gift.  I seriously adore her hair ringlets.  I hope I did these fabulous curls justice in coloring them!

The paper I used is from Heartfelt Creations Celebrate the Season.  I also used a couple Spellbinders dies to cut the snowflakes.  The Copic markers I used were:

Trend Report - Red, Blue, Gold and Flax

I'm doing the trend report this month for Cut@Home!  It's all about the color combination - red, blue, flax and gold.  Pretty.  Here are the two cards I created...

This first one uses a variety of scraps from Heartfelt Creations.  The stamp is from Unity Stamp Company called Santa Baby.  For all the furry parts of the suit, I added some distress Stickles in Picket Fence.

The next one uses Graphic 45 St Nicholas paper!  Love this new line!

Dare 2B Artzy Birthday Challenge

There's a NEW and FUN challenge over at Dare 2B Artzy today!  Whoop!  It's all about birthdays....and since this is MY birthday month, it's perfect.  Here's what I did:

I used the Dare 2B Artzy Bright Birthday stamps and the ALL NEW Dare 2B Artzy Modern Bliss Papers.  I also used Dare 2B Artzy Premium Inks found in the Tropical Cube Pack.  I added some Wink of Stella in yellow to the flames.  For the big flames, I stamped in yellow and then dotted the stamp with the orange.  For the little flames I added a little Copic alcohol marker in orange.

Cityscapes

Tim Holtz Crazy Dogs

I super LoVe LoVe the Tim Holtz Crazy series - Crazy Cats, Crazy Birds, Crazy Talk, Crazy Things - and now Crazy Dogs.  What?!?!  What could be cuter than these dogs!!!  I used the Talk, Things and Dogs to create these cuties for Cut@Home today.  The first two are colored up with Copic Markers.

CCB and D2BA Product Match-Up

Welcome to my stop on the August 15, Dare 2B Artzy and Canvas Corp Brands, blog hop!  If you just happened upon my stop, be sure to start at the Dare 2B Artzy Blog to get the full hop line-up!  There will be a second hop on August 19 with other member of the design team, so be sure to stop back then too!

I decided to use my products from the two companies to create a mini-album for my upcoming cruise to Alaska.  Here is the cover of the mini.  I had been sent an adorable burlap pillow to use in my project, but I pretty much ruined it playing with it, so I cut it up and used the pieces in various ways.  I dyed some of it with Tattered Angels Sapphire Glimmer Mist and Soft Pewter Gray Glaze for the background of the flower.  The rolled flower is another piece of the pillow that I rolled on a gluber.  I painted the base of the Dare 2B Artzy Shine On Lighthouse with the gray glaze as well.

I love those adorable mini-clothespins from Canvas Corp Brands!  Here's a pic of one of the inside pages that features a Dare 2B Artzy Ahoy Mate fox!  Isn't he super cute?

I'm not an expert with spray inks.  In fact, most of the time, they sorta blow up on me.  hahaha My technique is finger painting.  I finger painted many of the elements of my album (like the Octopus above and this chip piece from UmWow studio) with the gray glaze, the sapphire mist as well as some Tattered Angels High Impact Metallic Paint in Copper.

And another of my favorite pages.  Love those clothespins.  All of the paper used in today's project is from the Canvas Corp Brands Natural Nautical Collection.  So pretty!  The inside pages of my mini are paper over envelopes so I could have a pull out tag for each one for more pictures or for memorabilia!

And one more little element to show.  I recently got my hands on the Dare 2B Artzy Bright Birthday Stamps.  I added the dotted circle stamp from that set in a few places in my book....like this:

Tiddly Inks - Under the Sea Challenge

Tiddly Inks has some of the most adorable mermaids, so I was thrilled when I saw the latest challenge!  Under the sea!

I used one of the super cute mermaids from Amy and Her Mini-Mermaid Friends and a Tiddly Inks sentiment from Ellie Says Be Happy to create this card:

Isn't she adorable?!  I used the following Copic markers:
Hair:  Y13, Y15, Y18, Y26 and Y28
Skin:  E000, E00, E01
Octopus:  YG03, YG06, YG07
Outfit:  G12, G14, B32, B34

I outlined in varying Y00, B000, G00, and YG00.  I also added white dots to her fin and her hair with a Molotow Acrylic White Paint pen.  The paper is Artzy Doodles from Dare 2B Artzy, the banner and box dies are from Gina K designs, the fern and image shape are Spellbinders.

Lighthouse

It's my day over at Dare 2B Artzy.  I got a chance to play with the ALL NEW Dare 2B Artzy Shine On Lighthouse stamp set.  LoVe it!

Paper Nest Dolls - Christmas Fun

Love love love to color!  I'm totally obsessed with it.  Love love love that Paper Nest Dolls, Anything Goes Challenge, gives me a reason to color!  (as if I need one!)

This first card uses one of the new Paper Nest Dolls, Christmas / Holidays stamps - Avery with Snowman.

I used Heartfelt Creations, Celebrate the Season, paper and a Heartfelt Creations Regal Border die.  I added a few flowers from my stash.  The Copic markers I used are:

Slice o' Cake

How about a big ole slice o' cake today?  Doesn't that sound yummy?  I've been trying to drop a few pounds before an upcoming vacation, so I can only dream and color - like this cutie patootie Paper Nest Dolls, Birthday Cake Ellie, that I got from Firefly Crafts.

Bright and Sunny

The current challenge over at Tiddly Inks is Summer Sun.  The idea of this challenge is create something with summer fun, summer images or a summer feeling.  I chose the summer feeling on my creation using the Tiddly Inks Fairy Sunny Day image.

I found the brightest and summeriest paper at my local Michaels.....and colored the adorable image with the following Copic markers.

Christmas in July

I sent out tons of Christmas cards every year, and I love making them.  I start early!  Ok, really, I just make them all year-round...

Be Yourself

I have been going through fiscal close at work.  I have accounts with about $20M in expenses, and in some ways, I love fiscal close because all of the accounts get so clean and pretty.  In some ways, it's VERY stressful.  When that stress comes on, I love to color.....and I've been coloring a lot lately!

Safari Adventure

My post over at Cut@Home this week was all about the Graphic 45 Safari Adventure Collection papers and chipboard accents.  I made several cards using the collection!

Poppin' It Up

I have been just obsessed with coloring here lately.  What a great way to reduce stress!  And I really love the images at Tiddly Inks!  I decided to color up one of their Molly girls - Molly Shares - to enter their new challenge - Make It Pop!

Isn't she just adorable??!  I used Heartfelt Creations, Peacock Paisley paper.  The border around the image is a Tattered Lace border die.  I used the following Copic Markers:
Skin:  E000, E11, E02
Dress/Shoes:  B93, B95, B97, E41, E43
Hair:  E23, E25, E27
Flowers: Y35, Y38, YG41, YG45, W0, W2

For the "Pop" part of the challenge, I colored and fussy cut the flowers that Molly is holding and popped that up.  I also popped up the entire image panel.

Turtles in Love

I'm up over at Dare 2B Artzy today with these fun-filled turtles - the Dare 2B Artzy Turtle Couple!
