Flower HI!

ToDaY, I'm sharing a sweet card on the 3 Girl JAM blog that fits right into this month's 3 Girl JAM Challenge to do something for back to school or to use a writing instrument w/ ribbon.  I chose writing instrument!

I used papers from my scrap-pile, some yummy 3 Girl JAM flower ribbon and a stamp-set from Paper Smooches {Just a Note}.  I finished it off with a doily and some UmWow Studio confetti circle chip covered with Liquid Pearls.

Did you know that you can purchase 3 Girl JAM goodies for a cool 10% off using code KN10?!  Or win some if you join our challenge!

Proud of Him

This week the Cuttin' and Stampin' Design Team used the Paper Smooches Circle of Honor stamp set and Doodlebug Patriotic Parade papers in their projects. These are both available in the Cuttin and Stampin Scrappy Supply Store.

Our new challenge is to make a project celebrating Memorial Day. There are so many groups that collect cards for our soldiers and veterans, please consider making a card for a hero to thank them for their service.

Many of you know that my youngest son is deployed in South Korea in the U.S. Army.  He's been gone for 11 months, and I miss him terribly.  The good news is that he'll be home in about a month, so I used this fabulous paper and stamp set to create him a card.

I used distress paints to create the background.  Then I sprayed Mr. Huey's Overdue Color Mist through the lines Tim Holtz Stencil.  The fabulous vellum dots helped to tone down that BRIGHT red!  The stars are UmWow Studio Confetti Chipboard covered with liquid pearls.

Thanks for stopping by today, and thanks to all of our military and their families.  Love you Brian!  <3

Happy Momma's Day

This week our challenge at Cuttin and Stampin Scrappy Supply Store is to make traditional Mother's Day projects that includes flowers! The design team used the Paper Smooches Pretty Mom stamp set and items from the Bazzill Vintage Marketplace and Vintage Lace collection.

So excited to be sharing with you a Momma's Day card today with a little bit of mixed media.  Here's what I did!

That gorgeous flower stamp from the Paper Smooches Pretty Momma set is colored with Tim Holtz Distress Markers.  I added some 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon for a bow, a wee bit of Tim Holtz distress ink in Tea Dye and some UmWow Studio Butterfly confetti covered with Liquid Pearls.  I wanted that flower to pop a little so before I fussy cut it, I added a layer of Tim Holtz Frosted Film.  Look how shimmery!

And of course, I had to add a sentiment and butterfly to the inside.

I totally love how this card turns out.  I was in labor with my oldest baby 21 years ago on Momma's Day.....and his 21st birthday falls on that special day this year.  So proud of that kid!  Hope your Momma's day is super special too!

I'm submitting this card to the Paper Smooches Challenge blog - ANYTHING Goes!

Birthday Fishes

I got a new stamp-set this week from Cuttin' and Stampin'.  It's from Paper Smooches, and it's called Birthday Buddies.  So many cute images on this set!  I had a hard time figuring out what to do first.  I settled on the little fishes.

Love, love those fishes!  The paper is from the Basic Grey Obscure collection.  Love the fun bright colors!

I'm submitting this card to Seize the Birthday Coloring Challenge - and to Paper Smooches Anything Goes Challenge

WooHooo - Happy New Year!

I recently purchased my very FIRST Paper Smooches stampset, Chubby Chums, and finally got a chance to ink it up today.  I love owls, but this owl is seriously the cutest.  Isn't he?  I thought that this would make an excellent card for Happy New Year (or birthday or celebration of any kind).
