Proud of Him

This week the Cuttin' and Stampin' Design Team used the Paper Smooches Circle of Honor stamp set and Doodlebug Patriotic Parade papers in their projects. These are both available in the Cuttin and Stampin Scrappy Supply Store.

Our new challenge is to make a project celebrating Memorial Day. There are so many groups that collect cards for our soldiers and veterans, please consider making a card for a hero to thank them for their service.

Many of you know that my youngest son is deployed in South Korea in the U.S. Army.  He's been gone for 11 months, and I miss him terribly.  The good news is that he'll be home in about a month, so I used this fabulous paper and stamp set to create him a card.

I used distress paints to create the background.  Then I sprayed Mr. Huey's Overdue Color Mist through the lines Tim Holtz Stencil.  The fabulous vellum dots helped to tone down that BRIGHT red!  The stars are UmWow Studio Confetti Chipboard covered with liquid pearls.

Thanks for stopping by today, and thanks to all of our military and their families.  Love you Brian!  <3

Craftily yours,

Karen
