Be Inspired - Unity Challenge

Unity's Be Inspired challenge this month has a wonderful card sketch and a pretty color pallette perfect for Fall with orange, purple, green, black and straw colors.  I decided to combine the color and sketch challenges with my Unity Scarecrow Thankful for You Itty-Bitty that I recently purchased.

The papers I used were part of a door gift I received when I took a crafty class.  The hearts are chip from UmWow Studios inked up with some Liquid Pearls.  The burlap and purple ribbons are both from 3 Girl Jam!

Stickled Pink

It's challenge time at the All That Stickles blog!  Think Pink!  How fun is that?!  Don't have pink Stickles?  That's ok, just have a mostly pink project and some Stickles - it's all good :)

For my card, I used the beautiful Amalia Daisy Fairy from There She Goes stamps.  I cased one of the TSG Trendsetters on Pinterest - but then pinked it up!

The paper is from Nikki Sivils Gingerbread Land collection (yes, Christmas paper!  but it had pink dots!)  I used Stickles in Glam Pink (on the flowers on her head), Cotton Candy (hearts) and Stardust (wings).  Here's a close-up.

So, Stickle Pink!  You could win one of these wonderful prizes!Scraptastical Kreations - $15 GC
Fresh Brewed Designs - 5 digis
SKdigis - 2 single digis (no bundles)

My Poor PoP

It's time for a NEW challenge at Clear It Out Challenge blog.  Fun, fun!  This time, we ask you to use your punches to create a masculine card.  I don't know about you, but masculine cards are hard for me.  I love challenges that are masculine because I certainly do need some dude cards every now and then!!

My poor POP is going to be heading into surgery in a few days to have his knee replaced.  When I saw this PUP digital stamp at QKR Stampede, I knew it was perfect!  Using a slice of Echo Park Walk in the Park, my corner scallop punch, and some journal tags I've had in my stash forever, this is what I came up with!

Join us!  Link up your punchy masculine cards for an opportunity to win some fabulous digis from our wonderful sponsors!

For my project this month, I did a page in my art journal / scrapbook.  I decided to make a scrapbook for my son who is in the U.S. Army (currently stationed in Korea).  It keeps my mind busy on days that I'm missing him, and I hope he will enjoy it later in life.

This page shows pictures of my family and me on the day that he swore into the military.  We are so proud of him.  I welded "We <3 U" - a new technique for me.

Now, go weld and join us!

Special Thank You

It's time for a new challenge up at the Clear It Out challenge blog!  Our challenge is to create something that says Thank You that thing you've been saving because it's too special to use!

Yeesh, I've been saving it because it's too special to use, so it HAS to be a super special creationk, right?!  I used a fabulous image from our sponsor - Bugaboo Digital Stamps - called Make It Snappy - Thanks a Bunch.  I love these images because they incorporate darling images and great sentiments!  For my special things, I used some Basic Grey Kioshi paper and a butterfly embellishment that I got in one of the older UmWow Studios kits.  I love this paper line (wish it was still being sold!!) and love my little butterfly.  I think I did them justice!

What do you have that is so special you've been saving it?  Show us!

Using Something New

It's challenge day over at Christmas Card Challenges, and this week, our optional challenge is to use something new!  (Really, the true challenge is to get going on your Christmas cards and to share the inspiration with us!!)

I recently picked up some Glubers.  (I make my DT cards in advance, so I've used them quite a few times by the time this posts...)  What are Glubers?  Well, they are really uber big glue dots!  I used one to create this ribbon flower.  I love the way ribbon flowers look, and this one with red seam binding ribbon sorta glimmers!  Oo-la-la!
